We offer a range of flexible part time classes in the mornings and afternoons. You will study with our full time students.

These classes will help you improve your English to communicate or to take an examination. They are taught by experienced and qualified teachers at GEOS, where we have 34 years of experience in English teaching and student services for international students.

The classes are divided into levels from Pre-Intermediate to Advanced and there are no compulsory examinations or study diaries to complete.

You can study for 2 or more lessons per week.

Classes have a maximum of 12 students with an average of 10.

During the course you work on all four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking.

Fee and Costs:

All classes cost £5 per lesson. The minimum payment is for 2 weeks. GEOS does not offer free ”ESOL” classes to European citizens, refugees or asylum seekers.

You will also be asked to buy a study book for your class.

Testing and Placement:

Before enrolling in a class you will need to have an English placement test.  This is to ensure that you study the appropriate class for your level. Please contact us to arrange a time.

Exams:

We can enter you for the Cambridge exams, IELTS, and the new Skills for Life Exams. These exams are held between 2-3 times a year (Nov, March/April, June).

Facilities and Services:

The School has a computer centre, study centre (library) and listening centre for the use of all students. We also have very experienced staff who can help students with advice about living in the UK and Brighton.

Where is GEOS:

GEOS is located on Portland Road in Hove – 5 minutes walk from Hove Station and the George Street area. Bus numbers 2, 46 and 49 stop outside the school and we are 3 minutes walk from a number 1 bus service stop and 5 from the number 7.
