Students who want more free time choose this option. Lessons are held in the mornings, giving students free time to follow their own interests or study by themselves.

The course provides the same kind of learning experience and the same components as in the Intensive Course, but your progress may be slower.

You can also choose to combine this course with private lessons (see Combination English) to help achieve your aims e.g. passing IELTS or improving your Business English.

During the course you work on all four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking

Both grammar and vocabulary are important components of the lessons

Lots of speaking practice is built into the lessons and your pronunciation will be improved with the help of our language laboratory

Regular revision tests are given

Homework is given every day

You will have a tutorial at the start of your programme to help assess you aims and set some targets for improving your English. You will then have another tutorial at the end of the programme to look at your progress and give you advice on how to keep improving your English. Students who are studying for more than 4 weeks will have regular progress tutorials.

The tutorial process also ensures students are moved up to the next level as soon as they are ready

There is the possibility to take IELTS, KET, PET, FCE, CAE, BEC, TOEIC or TOEFL exams during your course
