Academic English/ Exam Preparation Programme
28 Lessons/ 21 hours of study or 20 lessons/15 hours per week
This is the most popular of our full time EXAM courses and is for students who want to study seriously towards an examination and learn as fast as possible.
We have several experienced exam teachers and our IELTS and Cambridge University exam courses are extremely popular.
You can study for IELTS, Cambridge First Certificate English ( FCE) or Certificate in Advanced English (CAE). You can also study for the Cambridge BEC (Business English Certificate) alongside your exam course.

Exam entrance test to help decide which exam and which level you should choose
Small classes with a maximum of 12 students

Full revision of grammar and lots of practice of all exam skills during the course
Personal help and advice throughout the course from your teacher
During the course you work on all four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking
Both grammar and vocabulary are important components of the lessons
The afternoon lessons focus on improving your exam skills and understanding the exam
Lots of speaking practice is built into the lessons and pronunciation is improved with the help of the language laboratory
Regular revision tests are given
Homework is given every day
You will have a tutorial at the start of your programme to help assess your aims and set some targets for improving your English. You will then have other tutorial during the programme to look at your progress and give you advice on how to keep improving your English. Students who are studying for more than 4 weeks will have regular progress tutorials.
